Marking the end of one era and the beginning of a new one, Ralin and Medec bring you The Last Vestax, a mix roiling with the emotion of today’s greatest producers. We just recently sold the Vestax PMC-08 Pro mixer that got us going and was first used on our Synth Love mix that we made back in the Summer of 2008 and it has served us well.

It is being replaced by a sleek, new Pioneer DJM-800, but we would be doing the Vestax a dishonor if we did not recognize its contributions and the fact that it had to put up with two guys who were still trying to learn this DJ thing. Thus, its adjourning mix is named in its honor; we give you The Last Vestax.

Here are some of the better loops that I have available for use.  Several of these have pretty long intros that can be shortened, the songs can be rearranged and the keys can be changed without too much trouble.  Yes, listening to a loop all by itself can be really boring, but there can be quite a bit of dynamic shift within the tracks, so you might want to listen to the whole thing.

We are planning to begin recording all of the mixes that we spin, even those that we consider practice.  Also, we are hoping to begin DJ’ing for my office’s internal webcast and possibly some other webcasts as well.  In the meantime, here is a demo mix that we made back in the summer of 2008 in hopes of being invited to perform at Quakecon ’08.  They never got back with us, but we had fun making the mix anyhow.  Enjoy!
